How to Add a Meeting Link to an Email
Drop a Kamo Meets room link into an email, or attach a full calendar invite with a date, time, and reminders, while composing.
Steps
There are two separate buttons in the compose window's footer for two different things:
Just a link ("here's a room, join whenever"):
- In the compose window footer, click the video-camera Insert meeting link button.
- Kamo creates a Meets room and drops the public join link into your message at the cursor. If the room has a passcode, that's added right after the link.
A real calendar invite (date, time, attendees, reminders):
- Click the calendar-plus Attach Meeting Invite button. A meeting form expands above the message body.
- Fill in the Title, Date, All-day toggle (if applicable), Time range and timezone, Location, and a URL — click Generate next to the URL field to create a Kamo Meets room automatically instead of pasting one.
- Add Reminders (for example, 10 minutes or 1 hour before) if you want them.
- Finish the rest of the email as usual and click Send.
What you'll see
For the link-only option, the URL (and passcode, if any) appears in your message body — check it's landed where you expect before sending. For the full invite, sending the email also sends a calendar invitation to your To/Cc recipients alongside it; if the invite fails to send but the email itself went through, you're told so you can follow up separately.
Note: a meeting invite you've filled in is not saved if you save the message as a draft instead of sending — drafts can't carry an attachment or a meeting invite, and you're told so when you save.
