Setup

Connect a location with one code.

Connect as many locations as you have. Each one needs only a computer that's always on.

  1. 1

    Install the connector

Run the KamoCameras connector on any always-on computer at the location — Windows, macOS or Linux.

  2. 2

    Enter its code

The connector shows an 8-character code. Enter it in Settings → Cameras → Site Setup.

  3. 3

    Your cameras appear

KamoCameras finds the cameras on that network. Add any it can't find by their address.

Your cameras

Brings in the cameras you already have.

No new hardware. KamoCameras looks for cameras on each location's network, and you can add any camera by hand.

The viewer

Made for a wall of cameras.

Six layouts

1, 2 × 2, 3 × 3 or 4 × 4, or one large camera with five or seven small ones.

Full quality on demand

Double-click a camera to fill the window with its full-quality stream.

Easy on your upload

Grid tiles use each camera's smaller stream, sparing your location's internet upload.

Sound you choose

Sound plays only from the selected camera: Automatic, Sound on or Muted.

Saved layouts

Save the views you use and open them in one click from the Cameras menu.

Full screen

Go full screen, with a side list to switch between views.

Who can watch

Each camera, only for the people you choose.

Four permissions decide what each member can do, and every camera and camera group has a Security tab that decides who can watch it — by person, department (including its sub-departments), job title or team.

View Cameras

Opens the Cameras menu and the viewer. Which cameras someone sees is set on each camera's Security tab.

Manage Cameras

Name, group and switch cameras on or off, and choose who can watch them — without ever holding a camera password.

Manage Camera Sites

Connect and disconnect locations and set up how their cameras are found and streamed.

Access All Cameras

Watch every camera in the organization, whatever its Security tab says.

Camera passwords are encrypted and never shown again after they're saved.

Only the right people

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to open ports on my firewall?

No. The connector at each location keeps one secure outbound connection, so there are no firewall ports to open and no port forwarding to set up.

Does KamoCameras record video?

No. KamoCameras is for watching live. Video goes from your location to the viewer over WebRTC — directly, or through an encrypted relay when a direct path isn't possible — and it never passes through our servers and is never recorded or stored.

Which cameras work with KamoCameras?

ONVIF cameras, Apple HomeKit, Dahua and XMeye recorders, USB and local cameras, and Ring or Tuya / Smart Life accounts — plus any camera you add by its RTSP or HTTP address. NVRs and DVRs from Hikvision, Dahua, Amcrest, Lorex, Reolink, Uniview, Swann, Axis and any ONVIF device are added once, with one camera per channel.

How many locations can I connect?

As many as you have. Install the connector on an always-on computer at each location and enter the code it shows in Settings → Cameras → Site Setup.
