How to Create a Lead Intake Endpoint
Create a webhook URL that a lead vendor can POST lead data to, so their leads are ingested automatically instead of imported by hand.
Before you start
- At least one active Market (Settings → Client Relations Manager → Markets & Fields).
- Recommended: the Vendor (and Product) this endpoint is for should already exist — see How to Add a Lead Vendor and Its Products Market, Vendor, and Product can technically be left unset at creation and added later by editing the endpoint, but leaving them unset means incoming leads won't be attributed to a vendor.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Client Relations Manager → Automated Imports.
- Click Create Endpoint in the top right.
- In the Create New Endpoint dialog, fill in:
- Title — required. A name for the endpoint, e.g. "Zillow Webhook."
- Description — optional.
- Market — dropdown of your active markets.
- Vendor — dropdown of vendors in that market.
- Product — appears once a vendor is selected; dropdown of that vendor's products.
- Rate Limit / min — number, defaults to 60.
- Max Payload (KB) — number, defaults to 1024.
- Click Create Endpoint.
- The endpoint appears in the table with a truncated token, a status chip (Pending until field mapping is set up), and running totals for received/processed payloads.
- Click the copy icon next to the endpoint to copy its full URL to your clipboard. The URL is
https://api.<your-domain>/api/public/lead-intake/{token}. - Send this URL to your lead vendor — they can POST lead data to it in any JSON format.
- Click Manage on the endpoint row to open field mapping, where incoming JSON fields get mapped to KamoUniverse's system lead fields. The endpoint's status moves from Pending to Configured once at least one mapping is saved. See How to Map Intake Endpoint Fields
- Use the power icon on the endpoint row at any time to enable or disable it — a disabled endpoint rejects incoming requests instead of queuing them.
What you'll see
A live, unique webhook URL exists for this vendor. Once your vendor starts POSTing to it, incoming payloads are logged and — after field mapping is configured — converted into leads under the market/vendor/product you selected.
