Lead Credits Explained
Note: this article merges two question-bank questions ("What is a Lead Credit?" and "How does lead Distribution work?") because they turned out to be the same mechanism — there's no separate distribution/routing feature. Don't expect round-robin, territory, or skill-based routing; the code has unused placeholder enum values for those, but nothing wired to them.
The model: pull, not push
KamoUniverse doesn't automatically route or push leads to specific people. Instead, unassigned leads sit in a shared pool per market/vendor/product, and eligible members pull a lead for themselves by clicking Accept — see How do I find available leads?
What a Lead Credit is
A credit is a token, tracked per member per vendor product. Claiming a lead from the pool normally spends one credit — that's the whole mechanism: one credit in, one lead out. If a vendor's product has Empty Credit Free For All turned on (set when the product was created — see How to Add a Lead Vendor and Its Products), claiming a lead from that product doesn't spend a credit at all; anyone eligible can just take it.
The oldest lead in the pool is always handed out first — there's no way to cherry-pick a specific lead out of order.
Where credits come from
An admin sets each member's credit rules — a starting/topped-up balance (Daily Allotment), a ceiling (Max Balance), and a per-day usage cap (Max Daily Spend) — per vendor product. See How to Manage Lead Credit Allotments Any of these can be set to unlimited (∞). Daily Allotment tops up automatically each day; there's no manual "grant credits now" button.
