Markets
Markets is where the day-to-day business of selling, renting, servicing, subscribing, buying and lending happens: taking an order, booking a rental, scheduling a job, signing someone up, and following each one through to done.
What you'll find here
- Markets and Lines of Business Explained — what a market is, what a Line of Business is, and how the two fit together. Start here if the words are new.
- How to Create a Market — setting one up in Settings, so it shows in the Markets menu for your team.
- How to Connect a Provider Integration — linking an outside service, such as an online store or a payment processor, to your markets.
- Orders and Pipeline — the Markets page itself, and how to take and work an order.
Finding Markets in the Menu
Open Markets from the main menu. If your organization has just one market, the menu shows that market's own name instead — "Equipment Rental", say — and opens it straight away. If you have two or more, Markets opens a short list of them, each with its description underneath, so you can pick the one you need.
How this relates to the CRM
They meet on the customer's account. Everything a customer orders, books, rents or subscribes to is filed under their account, and the account's Orders tab lists all of it in one place. If you're following a customer from first contact to first purchase, you'll start in Client Relations Manager and end here.
The word "pipeline" means something specific in this area — a real board with real stages that an order moves through. In the CRM it doesn't; a lead's progress is its status. Lead Status vs. Sub-Status explains that difference, which trips people up regularly.
