How to Manage Saved Import Templates
Note: templates aren't created from this screen directly — they're created by saving a mapping at the end of the Import Leads wizard (see How to Import Leads from a CSV File). This screen is for managing and reusing ones you've already saved.
Rename, remap, delete, or reuse a saved import template without re-mapping columns from scratch every time you import from the same vendor.
Before you start
The Manage CRM Settings right, and at least one template already saved from a prior CSV import.
Steps
Edit a template
- Go to Settings → Client Relations Manager → Manual Imports → Import Templates.
- Click the Edit icon on the template you want to change.
- Update the Template name and/or adjust its field mappings in the same mapping interface used during import.
- Click Save.
Delete a template
- Click the Delete icon on the template.
- Confirm: "Are you sure you want to delete the template '{name}'? This cannot be undone."
Import a new file using a saved template
- Click the upload icon (Upload new file against this template) on the template you want to reuse.
- Select a file — supported formats: CSV, XLS, XLSX, TXT.
- Choose Import as-is to run it straight through with the template's saved mapping, or Adjust mapping to remap just this file's columns without changing the template itself.
- If you adjusted the mapping, click Start import; otherwise the as-is import runs immediately.
What you'll see
Editing or deleting a template only affects future imports — it doesn't touch leads already imported with it. If a template's original market/vendor/product no longer exists, you'll be told to recreate it from the Import Leads wizard instead of trying to reuse it here.
