If a Camera Won't Play
A camera tile always says why it isn't showing a picture. Here is what each message means.
The site is offline
The connector at that location isn't connected. Check that its computer is switched on, awake and online. The tile starts playing by itself as soon as the site reconnects; you don't need to refresh.
This camera is switched off
An administrator switched it off under Settings → Cameras → Cameras.
Too many people are watching
Each location allows a limited number of viewers at once (16 unless your administrator changed it), because every viewer uses some of the location's internet upload. Try again when someone closes their view, or ask an administrator to raise the limit on the site's Advanced tab.
You can't watch this camera
You don't have access to it any more. An administrator decides this on the camera's or its group's Security tab.
No longer available
The camera was removed, or its site was unenrolled. Remove the tile, or save your layout without it.
The site didn't answer in time, or couldn't start this camera
The connector is online but couldn't reach the camera. For administrators:
- Open the site's Diagnostics tab. Streams shows each camera stream and any error; the Video service log shows what happened.
- Check the camera's address and password on the site's Cameras tab, and use Test on the Discover tab to see whether the connector can reach it.
- If several cameras stopped at once, Restart the camera service from the site's Overview tab.
Couldn't show this camera
The picture couldn't get from the location to you. This is usually the network you are on — some company, hotel and mobile networks block live video. Try Retry, then another network. If it happens for everyone, ask your administrator to check the site's Diagnostics.
The first picture is slow
The first viewer of a camera wakes its stream at the location, which can take a few seconds — longer for a camera that has to be converted on the way. Anyone who opens it while it is already playing sees it almost at once.
