Meetings
Video calls. KamoUniverse has its own meeting service — Kamo Meets — and can also hand meetings to a provider you already pay for, like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Setting it up
- Meeting Providers You Can Connect — what your options are and what each one changes
- How to Connect or Switch a Meeting Provider — including what happens to meetings already scheduled
- How to Set Meeting Defaults — what every new meeting starts with
- How to Customize Your Meeting Branding — your logo, your welcome message, your backgrounds
- How to Configure Meeting Security and Access — who can join, and whether they wait in a lobby
- How to Configure Meeting Recording — whether meetings can be recorded, and where recordings go
- How to Configure Meeting Notifications — reminders, and how meetings reach people's calendars
Privacy
End-to-End Encryption in Kamo Meets explains what is and isn't encrypted, and the trade-off it involves: with end-to-end encryption switched on, some features that need the server to see the video — recording among them — stop working. That's not a bug, it's what end-to-end means.
Two kinds of meeting link
The link you send to a customer and the link your own team uses are not always the same address. If a guest reports being asked to sign in, that's usually why — send them the join link from the meeting itself rather than the one in your own calendar.
