The Markets Pipeline
The Markets page is where your team does the everyday work of your markets: the orders to fill, the rentals going out, the jobs to schedule, the sign-ups to welcome. You open it from Markets in the main menu.
Opening the Right Market
How the menu item looks depends on how many markets your organization has:
- One market — the menu item is titled with that market's own name, say "Equipment Rental", and opens it directly.
- Two or more — the menu item reads Markets and opens a short list. Each market is shown by its title, with its description underneath, so it's easy to tell "Party Store" from "Equipment Rental". Pick one and its page opens.
Markets you create are added to the menu automatically. To set one up, see How to Create a Market.
How the Page Is Laid Out
There is one tab for each active market, in the order your administrators chose in Settings → Lines of Business. When your organization has only one market, there is no tab bar at all — the page takes on that market's own title and description.
What a market's tab shows depends on its Line of Business:
- Retail — orders, customers, fulfillment (shipments), carts and drafts, and stock. Returns and refunds are handled on each order (see How to Run a Retail Market Day to Day).
- Rental — rental requests and bookings, and the equipment or spaces you rent out.
- Service — service requests and the work orders that come from them.
- Subscription — sign-ups and the plans customers are on.
- Procurement — purchase requests and the orders you place with your vendors.
- Mortgage — your loan applications, from first contact to closing.
- Personal Loans — applications, offers and active loans.
- Healthcare — your practice's appointments and billing.
Where the Catalog Lives
What a market offers — its products, rental equipment, subscription plans or loan products — is set up in Settings → Lines of Business, not here. This page is where those offerings turn into real orders, bookings and applications.
Starting From a Customer
You don't have to come through the Markets page. A customer's account page has an Orders tab with a New menu — one entry per market — that starts a new order, rental booking, work order, subscription or purchase request with that customer already filled in. A rental always needs a customer account, so starting from the account is often the quickest way to book one.
